Three people were seriously injured in a head-on collision Saturday around 6:40 p.m. on State Route 16 (Monticello Road) about 6 miles west of Eatonton.
Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said Dazavius Little, 28, of Eatonton, was driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse eastbound on Monticello Road toward Eatonton. According to witnesses, Little attempted to pass a truck that was also traveling east in a no passing zone on a hill, which resulted in his vehicle colliding head on with a west-bound 2010 Toyota Corolla being driven by Sandy Brown, 46, also of Eatonton.
William Few, 26 and also of Eatonton, was a passenger in the car driven by Little.
All three men were transported to Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon with serious injuries, Sills said.
The incident remains under investigation, and Sills said he anticipates making charges in the future.
