Eatonton man’s murderer sentenced to life

Before their family member’s murderer was sentenced in court, the brother of the late Justin Xiong of Eatonton stood before the presiding judge and attempted to find words to explain the anguish he and his family had experienced since Justin’s grisly death.

‘Frozen Kids’

The PCES production was an adaptation designed for elementary schools of the famous Broadway musical.

Man pleads guilty in murder case involving chainsaw

Christopher Collins Demmon entered a guilty plea Thursday morning, Oct. 6, for the June 2021 slaying of Justin Xiong. Demmon shot Xiong to death, then used a chainsaw to dismember his body before disposing of it behind a shed. Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Judge Amanda S.

Warrick Dunn, who retired from the NFL in 2009 after an outstanding career with Tampa Bay and Atlanta, was in Eatonton Sep. 27, for the presentation of a brand-new Habitat for Humanity (HFH) home built by Harper Custom Construction on the city’s west side.
Dunn was no celebrity stand-in, though.
