A dispute between an employer and employee at a local manufacturing plant Monday escalated to death threats and an arrest, according to authorities. Eatonton Police Chief Howell Cardwell said officers were called to Cosmo Cabinets on Industrial Boulevard in Eatonton around 8:30 a.m.

Shooting victim draws crowd to Putnam General Hospital

Two shootings reportedly happened in Hancock County Tuesday evening. The outcome of one of them spilled over into Putnam County, but without incident, according to authorities. A call reportedly came into Putnam 911 Tuesday night about a vehicle wreck with injuries near the Hancock County line.

Man critically injured in ATV accident; airlifted to hospital

A 20-year-old Eatonton man is in critical condition after crashing on an ATV at 6:50 p.m. Saturday. Authorities say he was not wearing a helmet. Lyntravious Antowain Farley was driving an ATV on Loblolly Drive Saturday evening, according to Eatonton Police Chief Howell Cardwell.
