Member of local street gang pleads guilty

An Eatonton man pled guilty in court last week to assorted charges, the most notable being violation of Georgia’s gang statute, according to Eatonton Police Chief Howell Cardwell. The man admitted to being a member of the Solid Street Family criminal gang in Eatonton, Cardwell said.

Earlier this month, the Lake Oconee Elks Lodge donated four laptops, printers and all other essentials to the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville. The laptops will be used in the new building to house veterans with severe brain trauma or su_er from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
