Ricky Dubose youngest person on death row

Now convicted of double murder and given the penalty of death, Ricky Allen “Juvie” Dubose seems to have become the youngest person currently on death row in Georgia. Dubose was awarded the capital punishment Thursday, June 16, in Putnam County Superior Court.

Dog left outside dies in heat; owner arrested

Last week’s high temperatures claimed the life of a pet dog and led to the owner’s arrest, according to authorities.
Eatonton Police Department officer Dennis Tippens responded to a call on the 100 block of Custer Avenue regarding a dead dog.

A thunderstorm last night (Friday, June 17) left many people in the area without electricity, and an earthquake this morning (Saturday, June 18) had them shaking.
Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills, who also serves as the county's EMA director, said the earthquake's epicenter was near Metter.

Dubose sentenced to death for 2017 murders

After deliberating for nearly three hours, the jury sentenced Ricky Allen Dubose to a double death sentence – one for each victim – Thursday in Putnam County Superior Court. Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit Judge Alison T. Burleson will set the date of execution.
