Lake Country Village to transform Lake Oconee Parkway

Shaifer Partners unveiled plans for Lake Country Village this month, a mixed-use development off Lake Oconee Parkway and Old Phoenix Road anchored by a Publix grocery store.Clearing land for the project began the first week of December.

Wreaths Across America Day annually honors local veterans

Last Saturday morning on Wreaths Across America Day, approximately 30 people gathered at Putnam County’s Veterans Wall of Honor Park in downtown Eatonton, where local VFW Commander Nikki Barker reminded everyone of the mission to help lay wreaths on veterans’ gravestones at several local cemeteries.
