Mixed results coming for Georgia economy

The dean of the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business predicted last Friday that Georgia’s economy will continue growing next year but at a slower rate than this year. However, the state will continue outperforming the nation, which economic forecasters project will grow by 1.6% in 2025.

Rivian lands federal loan to restart EV plant construction

U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., announced Tuesday that a nearly $6 billion federal loan will help electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian restart construction of a $5 billion vehicle and battery plant near Covington.When it was announced in late 2021, the project was expected to create 7,500 jobs.

Business continues for NAPA after fire

Business has not stopped for the NAPA Auto Parts store in Eatonton, even though it had to shut its doors last week due to a fire.“We are fully operating out of the Milledgeville store right now,” said Eatonton store employee Bronson Sheriff.
