Lake Country Rural Health Initiative has announced it will hold a free health screening clinic on Sept. 8, from noon to 5 p.m. on the Putnam County Courthouse lawn. Screenings will be available for all ages and are expected to take less than 30 minutes.

City council approves $8.2 million FY25 budget

With the details previously hammered out, Eatonton City Council voted unanimously Monday night to approve its $8.228 million budget for Fiscal Year 2025. Six of seven councilors were present for the vote, with Ward 4’s Teresa Doster absent.
