Dear Editor,
“Connecting the community through the arts” has been the theme of my letters to the editor. I love showcasing every connection I can.
However, it looks like the arts don’t have a monopoly on this mission. I saw that the Eatonton Police Department, Eatonton Fire Department, Putnam Fire and Rescue, Putnam County Sheriff’s office, Putnam County Animal Services, Taylor’s Wrecker Service, Holder Plumbing, PCCSS Transportation Department and the PCPS Guest Services did their annual drivethrough parade at the primary school last week.
What a wonderful way to get little kids connected to their community! Kudos to all the participants and to each of the teachers who organized this meaningful event.
