Wayne Knight, age 84, passed away Friday evening, July 18, 2025.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church. The family received friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Mr. Knight was born on December 17, 1940, to the late O.D. Knight and the late Gladys Evans Knight. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for 33 years at AT&T. He was a faithful husband and father who loved his family. He was an avid sports fan and a dedicated member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Mr. Knight is survived by his wife of 62 years Reba Knight, a daughter Dorinda (and husband Stan) Peachy, son David (and wife Stephanie) Knight, grandchildren Caleb (and wife Shawna) Knight, Philip (and wife Suzanne) Knight, and Justin Peachy, nieces Pam Hughes and Lisa Finlayson, as well as great grandchildren Tabitha Knight and Abigail Knight In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church.
