Dear editor,
I wish to extend my sincerest gratitude to all those who supported and voted for me in the primary election. It was a very close election.
I have been involved in local political campaigns for over 20 years and have never witnessed so much outside money trying to influence our local elections until now. One could hardly open their mailbox or turn on their cell phone without seeing another negative ad filled with half-truths and outright falsehoods. Thank you for seeing those negative ads for what they were.
While we have won the primary, the fight continues. Please continue your support through the general election in November.
Let us hope that local elections can stay local.
