Rossee Oil purchased by Texas company

Rossee Oil Company, an Eatonton mainstay since 1945, announced last week that it has been acquired by Texas-based RelaDyne, the nation’s largest lubricant distributor and market leader in fuel, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), and industrial reliability services.

Since its founding, Rossee Oil Company has grown from a local jobber into a full-service solutions provider supporting commercial, industrial, transportation, and agricultural customers throughout Georgia. With distribution facilities in Eatonton, Moultrie, Wrightsville, and Swainsboro, Rossee Oil delivered service and product support to customers statewide.

“Rossee Oil Company is excited to join the RelaDyne team,” Rossee Oil owner Bill Rainey said. “For more than 80 years, our success has been built on the dedication of our employees and the trust of our customers. RelaDyne shares our commitment to local service and will support our team with greater resources and expand our portfolio of quality products and services available to our customers.

“Together, we will build on Rossee Oil Company’s legacy and continue delivering the dependable service our customers have come to expect,” he added.

Meanwhile, RelaDyne Chief Executive Officer Eric Royse said his Houston-based “team” is “proud” to add Rossee Oil to its holdings.

“Rossee’s established presence throughout Georgia strengthens our regional density and expands our ability to serve fuel and lubricant customers across the Southeast,” Royse said. “The company’s experienced team, strong operations, and longstanding commitment to dependable customer service make Rossee an excellent addition to RelaDyne and will create meaningful opportunities for our associates, customers, and supplier partners.”

RelaDyne Chief Strategy Officer David Schumacher added the Rossee Oil acquisition “represents a strategic investment” in the company’s Southeast operations.

“Rossee Oil Company has built an enviable market position on the foundation of fourth-generation family ownership, supported by an incredible employee base with deep knowledge of the Georgia market,” Schumacher said. “As we move forward as One RelaDyne, we are committed to maintaining the high level of service Rossee’s customers have come to expect while also expanding access to RelaDyne’s broader capabilities and creating new opportunities for growth across the region.”
