Putnam County celebrates Independence Day

The triple-guitar attack of the 441 South band, featuring Eatonton police officer Buddy Bowman on lead and rhythm aces Chad Bowman and Gary Luke, entertained a large crowd with a solid mix of country and classic rock Saturday night at Twin Bridges Landing. Doug Cason and Terry Edwards provided the backbeat on bass and drums, respectively, with lead singer Ronnie Hodges periodically giving up the mic to guest vocalist Gary Cooper. Mark Little, owner of the store and gas station at Twin Bridges, purchased the property in 2014 and each year since he’s provided free lakeside concerts each Memorial, Independence and Labor Day weekends.
