“Show and Tell” was the theme for the recent Phoenix Homemakers meeting. Each member was encouraged to bring something they’ve made, tell about a recent trip, show photographs that might be of interest to the other members, etc. It made for a very entertaining meeting.
Sally McKinley brought a beautiful quilted flag wallhanging she had done, as well as a gorgeous picture in beaded art of hummingbirds.
Carolyn Phillips brought a baby quilt she had hand embroidered for all to see.
Kathy Griffin brought a framed picture of a really pretty needlework piece she had made.
This club has some really talented members as well as very good cooks. Each member brings a covered dish, and we have lunch together after the meeting.
Phoenix meets every third Tuesday of the month with the exception of July. Meetings are at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia United Methodist Church on New Phoenix Road.
