When Lake & Local owners Kelly Parham and Kirsten Thompson first hosted bingo as a Ladies Night Out event in July, they had no idea how popular the game would be.
Because of the impressive turnout and response to that first event, bingo will now be held monthly at Lake & Local (104 S. Main Street, Greensboro), with the inaugural Bingo Club meeting scheduled for 6-8 p.m., Aug. 23.
Additional bingo nights are scheduled for the same time on the fourth Tuesday of each month, breaking only for holidays.
Lake & Local’s Bingo Club is open to anyone 18 years of age or older and will cost $20 per player. Admission will include four bingo boards and 10 rounds of play, with prizes awarded for each round. Prizes will vary each month, with some prizes coming from other Greensboro merchants in collaboration with Lake & Local.
Participants are welcome to bring their own beverages to enjoy, but light refreshments will be provided.
Registration is required for each monthly Bingo Club event at Lake & Local and can be done on the Lake & Local website at lakeandlocal.com, by visiting the store in downtown Greensboro, or by calling (706) 920-1130. - Contributed
