In the last 30 days, three different people in Putnam County have lost more than $100,000 total through phone scams, according to authorities. Putnam County Sheriff Sills had the opportunity to speak to one of the scammers on the phone, and the sheriff said he is not happy with how the elderly are being robbed in his jurisdiction or anywhere else.
