Reynolds Lake Oconee recently revealed the recipients of its 2022 Second-Quarter Employee Awards, with Director of Platinum Dining Steve Pinheiro named Leader of the Quarter, while delivery driver Ron Huff and Golf Operations representative Ciara Maroschak received Employee of the Quarter honors.
Pinheiro has been with Reynolds more than eight years. He attended Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, where he earned a degree in history. Pinheiro planned on teaching after college, but said he was working at Reynolds during that time and fell in love with it.
He said he finds great gratification in teaching and coaching his Reynolds team. Always there with words of wisdom or gentle corrections, Pinheiro’s advice always remains sound and comes from a genuine place of care, not only for operations but for the employees, too.
“The favorite part of my job is the relationships you get to build with Membership and creating lasting memories for them,” Pinheiro said. “Whether it was a birthday, anniversary, or just a date night—we are creating forever memories for our Members.”
In his free time, Pinheiro said he loves watching sports and movies, and spending time with his family, including wife Susan and their two cats, Evey and Shadow.
Huff joined the Reynolds Cellar Wine team in June 2021, after previously working as a paraprofessional for the Baldwin County Board of Education.
“It certainly has been a change in pace, trying to learn about all the different types of wines. What I like most about the job is learning how the wines are made and how the same grapes can taste completely different based on the region they were grown in,' Huff said.
Huff enjoys playing sports, doing yard work, sharing the good news as a Jehovah's Witness, and spending time with his family and wife, Jessica.
Maroschak is a hardworking employee for Reynolds Golf Operations at Creek Club. In the last two-and-a-half years, working dual roles, she can be found around the course on the beverage cart or in the golf shop. She also attends Georgia College and State University as a marketing student.
“The best part of my job is meeting new people and working at such a beautiful place, in such an inclusive environment, where I am able to learn new things,” Maroschak said. “Working at Reynolds has allowed me to get an insight on how marketing is applied to the real world.”
When not working at The Creek Club, Maroschak most likely will be found on the lake, wake surfing, hanging out with family and friends, and enjoying beautiful sunsets. She volunteers her time through her sorority, Delta Zeta, and enjoys spending time with Malibu, her one-year-old goldendoodle.
