The Putnam High Lady Eagles volleyball crew fell in two straight games Sept. 15, losing 25-20 and 25-18, for a 2-0 match win going to the Johnson Panthers.
But that was irrelevant in the grand scheme of the night for the Putnam girls, as the team honored its four seniors on their annual seniors night. The players celebrated were Leslye Arriola, Angelica Alexander, Tytianna Little, and Priscilla Sepulveda.
Each girl walked down the court with the spotlight on them as they were introduced to the spectators. Marking their final year and final season with the team, it was a lot to take in during one evening. Each Lady Eagle held their composure and the coaches made sure to include Putnam’s sports photographer, Arella Cash, in the ceremony, too.
Coach Francisco Aguirre Arancibia said he was very proud and with a heavy heart he took pictures with his senior players.
