According to the WJVA Facebook page, the annual charity tournament on Lake Oconee helps “reconnect Veterans to the unspoken brotherhood of the military.” All Armed Services were represented from Vietnam to Afghanistan/ Iraq. CONTRIBUTED

WILD Jaeger Veteran Adventures (WJVA) hosted a charity bass tournament on Sept. 24, in conjunction with Georgia Bass Trails at Sugar Creek Marina on Lake Oconee.
The weather for the event was nothing short of spectacular, though it did warm up quite a bit into the afternoon. Anglers began to arrive in the wee hours of the morning and departed the dock at sunrise.
