    An intense trio of games to close out September placed the Putnam County High School softball team third in the Region 4-AA standings. The Lady Eagles played at home Sep. 26, against Jefferson County High School in a game that allowed the Putnam players plenty of opportunity for hitting doubles and singles, but their opponents weren’t so keen on letting them make it home. ...
