John Wayne Batchelor of Eatonton, GA passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. He was born to Jackson Willie Batchelor and Fay Davis Batchelor on March 1, 1953. He retired from Putnam County Public Works. After retirement John enjoyed his dogs, chickens, fishing and hunting. He never met a stranger and always had a great sense of humor.
He loved seeing the smiles on the faces of his two granddaughters Kinley Ann Mashburn and Jessi Christine Mashburn.
John was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers J.R. Davis and Blake Batchelor. He is survived by his sons Tony Mashburn and Jason Mashburn (Bobbi Jo) and his daughter Christy Mashburn, His brothers and sisters Carolyn Dex, Evelyn White, Linda Elkins, Pete Batchelor (Martha), Dollie Harper (Ben), Charlotte Brown (Michael) and Danny Batchelor. Along with several nieces and nephews. Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel at 11 am. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Central Methodist Church or Crossroads Baptist Church in John’s memory. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel is in charge of the arrangements
