Gatewood Schools celebrated its 2022 Homecoming Sept.
26-Oct. 1, with a week of themed days for grades K2-12, senior events, high-school football, and a school dance on Saturday. This year's Gatewood Homecoming Queen, Anna Elizabeth Williamson, was officially crowned by last year's queen Sep. 29, during halftime for the football game that was moved forward to Thursday due to the threat of inclement weather that weekend.
The daughter of Jamey and Joy Williamson, Anna has been a Gatewood Gator since K3 and encompasses all that a HOCO queen represents. She is a student athlete participating in track, cheer, basketball, and soccer.
She also is part of Gatewood's dual-enrollment program and a member of Gatewood's National Honor Society. Anna's plans upon graduating involve attending Georgia Southern University or The University of North Georgia, where she will major in kinesiology, which is the scientific study of human body movement.
