The Lake Country Chorus will be presenting The Spirit of Christmas Thru a Child’s Eyes, beginning at 7 p.m.
Dec. 15, at First United Methodist Church (4741 Carey Station Rd, Greensboro).
The evening will feature several favorite Christmas hymns and secular tunes, along with dancing by chorus members and students from The Arts Barn. The concert, directed by Donna Valvo and accompanied by Amy Reber, will also feature a community orchestra and more than 50 Lake Country chorus members singing Christmas favorites.
The annual Lake Country Chorus Christmas Concert is part of a 21-year tradition for the Lake Country community.
These concerts are held in the spring and Christmastime each year. This year’s December concert will channel the Christmas spirit through a child's eyes. The chorus will travel in one short, song-filled evening from Bethlehem to Whoville to the North Pole via the Polar Express, even while making a brief stop in Italy to visit Dominick the Donkey.
Christmas Concert tickets are $25 each ($15 for children under 12) and may be purchased from any chorus member or at Bank South, Lake Oconee branch. For additional information, please email Executive Director Melanie Schultz at rometavo@ aol.com.
