Stanley Leon Slocum of Eatonton, GA passed away Friday November 11, 2022.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Lakeside Baptist Church 1023 Milledgeville Highway, Milledgeville, GA at 1:00 PM. Rev. Jimmy Lee and Rev. Tim Oliver will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm -1:00 pm prior to the service.
Stanley had worked for many years at Decatur Tool Rental in Decatur, GA. He moved to Eatonton, GA and worked at Lake Oconee Rental until January of 2021, at which time he was unable to work.
Stanley was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and fishing, and spending time with his dog Lil Bit.
He was preceded in death by his parent Hoyt E. Slocum and Valter Roach Slocum, as well as brothers Marshall A. Slocum, Tommy Lee Slocum and Paul Lamar Slocum.
Survivors include brothers James Elmer Slocum of Riverview, FL, Marvin W. (and wife Camille) Slocum of Milledgeville, GA and Jerry D. Slocum of Milledgeville, Ga, sisters Charlotte A. Hawkins of Loganville, Sharon (and husband Larry) Ethridge of Oxford, GA, Brenda J. Fowler of Ocala, FL as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
