The Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club of North Central Georgia had a special visitor come in recently to share some information about his career. His visit was part of the monthly mentoring program offered at the club, in which various professionals visit to share what they do for a living and describe their different career paths.
Most recently, Jon Peeler, an associate broker with the Luxury Lake Oconee Real Estate Group, spoke to members about his job, as well as the importance of respecting themselves and others, plus the need to get a good education.
Peeler is a seventh-generation native of Milledgeville and has worked in sales for more than 25 years and for the past five years as a realtor. During his inaugural year in real estate, he was named Agent of the Year and earned a trip to a national real estate convention in Las Vegas.
In 2021, he earned the second-highest commission payout from his Metro Atlanta Brokerage, and among other achievements, he is a member of the Executive Club, 100-percent Club, Top Producer, Top-100 Agents in Georgia and an active life member of the Million Dollar Club through the East Metro Board of Realtors.
In school, Peeler majored in information systems with a minor in marketing from DeVry in Atlanta and has numerous other post-secondary certifications and credentials, including his most recent as a broker candidate, which makes him a very experienced mentor in his field.
Peeler spoke to Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club members not only about his job as an associate broker and how to get started in real estate but also about key moral characteristics and responsibilities. He told them about the importance of respecting themselves and others, and the need to get a good education.
In the end, Peeler shared a song with the members called Believe in Yourself.
All the club members were grateful to learn about a potential new career path and what it takes to be successful. The Pete Nance Boys & Girls Club offers a big thank you to Mr. Peeler for stopping by to enhance the growth of youth in the Greensboro community.
