Lewis McLeroy Jr 79, of Eatonton, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. He was born on March 1, 1943, in Chamblee, GA to the late Lewis Arnold McLeroy Sr. and Alma Hawkins McLeroy.
Lewis graduated from Putnam County High School in 1961, enjoyed drag racing, working on tractors, and loved his Church and the Lord very much. He especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Visitation was on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Lake Country Baptist Church from 12 noon to 2 pm, followed by a service at 2 pm, interment was at Eatonton Memorial Park after the service.
He is survived by his daughter Amanda (Jim), son David McLeroy Sr. (Brandi), sister Shirley Poole (Sonny), grandchildren Jay Barbee, Jacob Barbee, Matthew Barbee, Shelby McLeroy, Abby McLeroy, David McLeroy Jr., niece Scarlett Goddard, and former wife and devoted friend Rita McLeroy. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
