Mr. Torris Edward Bailey passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the age of 73 in Atlanta. He was the youngest of seven children born to Grady and Jessie Mae Bailey of Eatonton.
A proud graduate of Putnam County’s historic Butler Baker High School and Morehouse College (Atlanta), Torris was a resident of Tucker, GA for many years.
A member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Torris Bailey always maintained close ties to Eatonton and Putnam County.
Those who cherish his memory include his wife Ellen K. Bailey; son Jared Bailey; granddaughter Janiyah Bailey; sister Leila B. Mitchell; other relatives and friends.
The celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2023, at St. Philip A.M.E. Church, 240 Candler Rd. S.E., Atlanta. Interment will follow at Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Bethel Church Road, Eatonton.
