Letter to the Editor: Resurrection Day was glorious

Dear Editor, I am hopeful that the majority of the Putnam County-Eatonton community enjoyed a blessed day celebrating our Risen Savior.

He has many names in the Bible and He is faithful to live up to each one as He is the same yesterday, today, and forever! God has many attributes, but the one that supersedes all is God is Love!

God has loved us before we were ever born, and the greatest act of love shown to his children is what we celebrated yesterday (Easter).

Before the creation of this world, Abba Father had a plan for each of us that was prophesied centuries in advance that He would humble Himself to come to us (Emmanuel) as a baby, with the sole purpose of His 33 years on Earth to show us himself.

Through Jesus, his Son, He felt all the torture of the worst death of all time, crucifixion on a wooden cross. He was sacrificed as the Lamb of God without blemish. He was totally sinless. Not one of us can say we are without sin, only Jesus! Because His heavenly Father raised Him up from the tomb, those who accept this fact are promised eternal life forever in His presence. Jesus does not want us to spend eternity in hell as the alternative (and anyone who follows him does not want that fate for anyone).

I am fellowshipping at two churches in Eatonton this year.

I have been supporting International Ministry Jesus King of Glory for the past two years (at the other end of the parking lot from Piggly Wiggly) and since Christmas Day I have also been with First Independent Methodist Church in the middle of what used to be the cotton mill community.

I witnessed healings, deliverances, salvations, many testimonies, great teachings of the Bible, worship music, and most of all the presence of the Holy Spirit! I pray that each of you who might read this will find a church community that will support you.

If we ever needed to know God, it is today for such a time as this. For those who are spiritually awake, we know that our Lord is preparing us for the end of this church era, for the rapture of his Eklesia, for the seven-year great tribulation, for his second coming as a warrior judge, and finally, the establishment of His Kingdom in the world’s capital city, Jerusalem (Yerusalayim).

There is not a minute to waste in these last days to be repentant and obedient to Him, using your believer’s authority to share His gospel message, to open your pocketbooks, and to support many great evangelical ministries. It is not a time to worry, but to pray, meditate on His Word, and act.

It is not a time ever again to be silent!

Until next time, Margaret Gail Segars Rainey, A grandma in Eatonton
