Craig Clinton Hancock

Today, we celebrate a great man’s passage through the Gates of Heaven. Craig Clinton Hancock was born May 16th, 1954 to Marjorie and Clinton in Fort Myers, Florida, and passed away on November 11th, 2023, at age 69.

He was a beautiful man whose heart of gold could only be outshone by his selflessness, even once seeing a barefoot man at the roadside and choosing to go home barefoot himself, leaving his socks and shoes with someone he felt needed them more.

He was honest and kind, cherishing his family down to the very fiber of his being. To him, a moment couldn’t possibly have been better spent than with his bride and love of his life, Susan, and his grandchildren.

It brought him such joy to share his wisdom and passion for life, the outdoors, or the sport of shooting with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and anyone else who would listen. The world will surely feel an aching void in his absence. “I will love you for the rest of my life.

- Love Always, Susan Anne” Craig is survived by his beloved wife Susan Anne; sons, Matthew and Vincent; daughter, Joanie; seven grandchildren, Gregory, Thomas, Grayson, Bailey, Brenlyn, Samuel, and Maxwell; as well as his father, Clinton; brothers, Leslie, Donald, and Dave; and sister, Marilyn. He is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie.

Craig’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 18th, 10:00 am-10:45 am at First Independent Methodist Church, located at 107 Imperial Church Rd. NW in Eatonton, Georgia, after which, the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall until noon.
