Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Allen Swearingen age 87 were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, at 4 PM in Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating.
The interment will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 pm until 4 pm.
Mrs. Swearingen was a native of Macon and lived with her husband all over middle Georgia until moving to Milledgeville in 1971 and moved to Eatonton in 1989. She retired as a Dental Assistant from Dr. William Harri's office.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Clifford Swearingen, and her parents, Albert Oliver Allen and Gladys Aline Doke Allen; a daughter Wanda Burchett; and son-in-law, Steve Montgomery.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Montgomery; grandchildren, Kelly Montgomery (Brandi), Kimberly Smith (Matt), Melissa Blackaby (Josiah), Laurie Hunkler (Matt), and Heather Kanetsky (Dr. Martin); great-grandchildren, Bridget Funderburg, Ethan Blackaby, Landon Blackaby, Deacon Blackaby, Ivey Montgomery, Ellie Montgomery, Tanner Montgomery, Owen Hunkler, Olivia Hunkler, Mason Kanetsky, Penny Kanetsky, and Caroline Smith; Sisters, Genell Lingold (Lane), Darlene McCoy (Ronnie); Brother, Albert Allen (Yvonne); and several nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers the family request donations to the American Cancer Society.
