Mr. James Dallas Turk, Jr., age 81, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 at his home in Putnam County. Memorial Services were held 11:00 am Monday, June 17, 2024 at Talmo Farms. The family received friends from 10:00 am until the service time.
Dallas was born on December 17, 1942 in Jones County to the late James Dallas Turk, Sr. and the late Ada Linch Turk. He worked as a dairyman until the early part of the 1970’s when he started his own logging company. He was a family man who loved hunting for old bottles, gardening, cutting his grass, and playing cards. In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his son James Anthony “Tony” Turk.
Dallas is survived by his wife of 62 years Sandra “Hill” Turk of Eatonton, his son Rodney Turk of Eatonton, grandsons Dustin (and wife Kristin) Turk of Eatonton, and Kaleb Turk of Tallulah Falls, great grandchildren Adalyn Turk of Tallulah Falls, Maddox Turk of Eatonton, and Grayson Turk of Tallulah Falls, sisters Carol Ward of Madison, Barbara Turk of Eatonton, and Elain (and husband Steve) Uhler of Eatonton, and a brother Earnest (and wife Dixie) Turk of Eatonton.
