Mike Tarrar and the folks at Georgia Bass Trail hosted the 5th annual United in Pink Bass Fishing Tournament on Oct. 26, based at Dennis Station on Lake Sinclair. More than 90 boats entered, and the top five teams shared $5,000 in prize money.
Bass Pro Shops also attended the tournament to pick up a few bass to feature within its in-store tanks at Macon and Lawrenceville.
Lance Collins placed first overall with 16.98 pounds of fish, with second place going to teammates Noah Campbell and Callaway Robinson, who caught 16.32 pounds of fish. The duo of Gene Carroll and David Gibson took home third-place honors with 15.68 pounds.
The team of Danny White and Carolina Cavanaugh caught the tournament’s biggest bass, which weighed a hefty 7.04 pounds.
United in Pink is Central Georgia’s breast cancer family resource provider of emotional, social, and financial support for individuals and their families. United in Pink programs are designed to address health disparities and increase the quality of life for all family members.
