Louie Thompson Long Jr., 80, of Eatonton, died peacefully on December 14, 2024.
Born on August 30, 1944, Louie was the son of Annie Clyde Brake Long and Louie Thompson Long Sr. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Louie was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Clyde Brake Long and Louie Thompson Long Sr., and leaves behind his beloved wife, Jan Long, and sister, Juanita Cronic (Gerald Cronic). His children survive him: Sami Stevens, Heather Hutchins, Wesley Raney, and Jessica Long. Louie also cherished his role as a grandfather, leaving behind his grandchildren: Sydnie Stevens, Vincent Stevens, Dylan Stevens, Weston Raney, Ali Raney, Abigail Hutchins, and many nieces and nephews.
Louie was a kind and caring man known for his generosity, wisdom, and deep love for his family. He touched the lives of many with his warm heart and unwavering support. While his presence will be greatly missed, his memory will live on through his family and the countless people he influenced throughout his life.
Louieās life was celebrated on December 16th at 10:00 AM at Williams Funeral Home. The family invited all who knew him to join in remembering the incredible man he was.
