James M. “Jimmy” Holloway, 79 of Eatonton, passed away on April 7, 2025.
He was born in Eatonton on January 11, 1946, to the late Jubral Ward Holloway Sr. and Minnie Greer Holloway. He was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Anne Holloway and Mary Ellen Bowen.
He had a love of hunting and fishing that usually involved going with his brothers and friends or taking his grandchildren down to the pond.
He enjoyed cooking, especially a big Brunswick stew that he would invite family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy. He was known for his love of a good story and lots of contagious laughter. Jimmy had a love of music, especially a good hymn or some bluegrass gospel. Jimmy was a long-time Christian and would share his love of Jesus with anyone who would listen. During his time in the nursing home, those who knew this would come to him for prayer or a word of encouragement.
James is survived by his daughters Dapheny Hilley (Darren), Tiphanie Ford (Keith), grandchildren Ashley Dietzel (Jeff), James Ford, four great grandsons Cooper, Brody, Hudson, and Finn Dietzel, brothers Jubral, Bennie, and Johnny (Michele) Holloway, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
