Mr. Charles Eugene Hurst, Sr., 85, passed away on November 28, 2022. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2 PM in Lakeshore Community Church with Rev. Danny Lyles and Rev. Bruce Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 1 PM until the service time.
Mr. Hurst was a native of West Virginia and had made his home in Milledgeville. He was the son of the late Charlie Hurst and Opal Hurst and preceded in death by his brother, Freddie J. Hurst. He retired from Horton Trucking and was a member at Lakeshore Community Church.
He is survived by his wife Janis Collins Hurst; daughters, Wanda Batchelor (Michael) of Eatonton, Rhonda Harvey (William) of Walhalla, S.C.; son, Chuck Hurst (Susan) of Milledgeville; sisters, Dortha Parson of Clarksburg, W.VA; brothers, Robert Hurst, Richard Hurst both of Dayton, Ohio, and Irving Hurst (Dot) of Milledgeville; stepchildren, Melissa Sharp of Dublin, Chris Hall of Lyons, Thomas Hall of Bruswick, and Clint Hall of Milledgeville; and 16 grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Lakeshore Community Church.
