Mr. Clyde Robert “Bobby” Duren, age 92, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023. A graveside service will be held at Redan Community Cemetery located at 1608 Rice Rd. Lithonia, GA 30058 (at the intersection of S. Stone Mountain Rd. and Phillips Rd.)
on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2023, at noon. instead of flowers, donations are requested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Bobby was born in Decatur on Aug. 20, 1931, to the late Clyde Marvin Duren and the late Willie Ellis Duren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jane Patricia Duren and a son Bobby Duren.
Bob is survived by his two sons Mr. Brad Duren (Kim) and Mr. Randy Duren. Grandchildren Mrs. Lindsey Duren Crews (Preston), Mr.
Hunter Duren; Great grandson Mason Duren, Gunner Crews; Great Granddaughter Harper Crews, Lucy Duren.
Bobby served in the Army from 1952-1954.
Stationed in Germany during his time in the service. He was a loving husband, father grandfather, and great-grandfather, “Pops”.
His smile would light up a room and he loved everyone!
