Dennis Ray Griswell, age 79, of Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away at Chatuge Regional Hospital on Monday, February 10th, 2025.
Dennis was born on October 18, 1945, in Tallahassee, Florida, to the late Richard and Evie (Snyder) Griswell.
Dennis was a member of the Central Methodist Church in Eatonton, Georgia, for many years. He worked as a welder for Horton Homes for over 40 years and loved his job. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family in his free time.
Dennis is preceded in death by his above mentioned parents; first wife, Pansy Griswell; daughter, Corine Adams, stepson, David Youngblood; and brother, Larry Griswell.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Mathis) Griswell; daughter, Susie Toskes; stepson, Chris Youngblood; sister, Margrette Caldwell; grandchildren, Sarah Kerrigan, Crystal Mitchell, West Youngblood, Dylan Youngblood, Ashley Youngblood, and Alex Youngblood; and great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services were held on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Marshall Memorial Baptist Church in Eatonton at 1:00 pm. The family received friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
