John Henry Hall

John Henry Hall, age 70, of Eatonton, died peacefully in his home on March 1st, 2025.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the Historic Sanctuary of the Eatonton Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until the service time in the Great Hall.

John was born November 16, 1954, in West Monroe, LA, to the late James H. Hall, Sr., and Anne L. Hall. He graduated from Sarasota High School, where he spent countless hours in the sun, on the sand, and in the water. He left Florida to work in the Cable TV industry, which took him to North Carolina, California, Connecticut, Texas, and Georgia.

John was significant in building and operating Plantation Cablevision, which served Lake Oconee for over 26 years. He met and married Paulette Hanson, and they had one child together, John Henry Hall, Jr. (Hank).

Many will remember that John was passionate about fishing. Whether fishing off a bridge, a boat, a seawall, a dock, or even a frozen lake, John loved to fish. He knew all the best fishing spots on Lake Oconee and spent a lot of time on them.

John was preceded in death by his parents, James Hall, Sr., and Anne L. Hall, and his older brother, James Hall, Jr.

John is survived by his wife, Paulette Hall, son Hank Hall, brother Joel Hall (Tracy), sister Jan Dugan (Mark), and sister-in-law-law Peggy Hall. His numerous nieces and nephews loved him, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
