Leland Peterson Alexander

Leland Peterson Alexander, 76, of Eatonton, GA passed away on October 17, 2022 from a heart attack.

Lee was born April 3, 1946 to Clarence and Marian Alexander in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA. He received his A&P aircraft maintenance license from Pittsburgh Institution of Aeronautics. He worked 41 years for Eastern Airlines and UPS. He served our Country in the US Army.

Lee enjoyed his family and friends, traveling the world, lake life, Pittsburgh Steelers and aviation. He was a member of Milledgeville First United Methodist Church, Iron City Fishing Club and SOPLLC.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Ellen Alexander, his two children Tim (Nancy) and Jenny from Suwanee, GA. Grandchildren Caroline Alexander, Landon Alexander and Nathan Lawrence. His three brothers: Joseph (Kathy) Alexander of Murrysville, PA, Pete Alexander of Marietta, GA and Stewart (Donna) Alexander of McKees Rocks, PA. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Marian Alexander and his first wife Carolyn Amico Alexander.

Visitation was held Thursday, October 20th, 6:00-7:30 PM at Williams Funeral Home of Eatonton, GA and Friday, October 21st from 12-1 pm at First United Methodist Milledgeville.

Service were at 1:00 PM at FUMC with Rev. Mac Enfinger and Rev. Andy Chambers officiating.
