Martha Jean Strube, 92, of Eatonton passed away at her residence on Monday, October 2, 2023.
Martha was born on March 3, 1931, in Salisbury, NC, to the late Joseph and Pearl Alice Vinson. She has lived here for the past 65 years, was active in the choir at her church, and enjoyed sewing, going on cruises, and going to Las Vegas. She was also a dedicated fan of the Braves and Bulldogs.
Visitation was on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Eatonton from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a service at 2 p.m. Burial was on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Georgia War Veterans Cemetery at 11 a.m.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of 70 years Grady Luvan Strube, daughters Paula McAlum (Warren), and Jeanne Vining (Roger), sisters Betty Osborn, and Faye Hargett, grandchildren Tony Rhodes (Teresa), Rodney Vining (Amanda), Jeremy Vining (Taylor), Josh Kooken (Maureen),14 great-grandchildren and two great greatgrandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Eatonton. Vining Ivy Hill Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
