Michael Wesley “Redneck” Yarbrough, 53 of Eatonton, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his home on July 7, 2025.
Mike, better known as “Redneck”, was born February 25, 1972, in Sandersville, Georgia, to the late Mr. William James Yarbrough, II, and Mrs. Donna Dunn Scott.
Mike is survived by his mother, Donna Dunn Scott (David), older brother, William James “Jamey” Yarbrough, III, younger sister, Kelly Linch Gilliard (Kenny), and several nieces and nephews.
To know him was to love him, and he was loved by many!
In his younger years, he was a hardworking, party-loving, good-time-hunting man. Anyone who knew Mike’s younger self will have plenty of stories to sit up on the shelf from the past. Mike loved his family, his friends, the Atlanta Braves, and a good ice-cold beer.
His contagious smile brought immense joy to many people. Even though Mike spent more than half his life bound to a wheelchair, he never let his disability discourage him. Mike never had the opportunity to have children of his own, but he participated immensely in raising his nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the upcoming weeks after summer. All family and friends are invited and are kindly asked to share photos and memories from the past and present.
