Patricia Eugenia Lankford, age 83, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Athens Regional hospital on June 4th, 2022.
Patricia was born May 18th, 1939, in Macon, GA to parents Gussie Clark Hicks and Mae Fair Hicks. She was the oldest of four children, and helped raise her siblings Donna Camerio, Rudy Hicks, and Gus Hicks. Patricia has lived in Putnam County since 1969. She had three daughters: Robin Pettigrew, Sally Hill, and Geni Clause. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gus Lankford. Patricia was an elder at Liberty Chapel Church and taught Sunday School for decades, where she positively impacted many lives. She loved music, birds, gardening, and reading. Patricia was known for her quick wit and many unique sayings. She had a sharp eye and noticed all the beautiful details of life. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren before her passing. She will always be remembered as a loving, generous, and wise woman.
