Polly Parham, 87, passed away on February 12, 2025, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
Her service was held on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Visitation started at 10 a.m., and the service followed at 11:30 a.m. She was buried at Mt. Ararat Church cemetery.
Polly was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Calhoun Parham, her parents Roy Lee Vining, Sr. and Ruby Whitten Vining and all of her siblings: Leola Pope, Roy Lee Vining, Jr., Bert Welch, Jennie Schuman, William Vining and Hugh Vining. She is survived by her son Michael Parham (Lee), stepsons Leon Parham (Jeannie), and Kenny Parham (Alicia), 13 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
Polly was a hard worker who worked at Enterprise Aluminum Co. for 30 years and later was a line supervisor at Perky Cap. She was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent many spring and summer nights watching the Atlanta Braves. She loved to cook for her family and loved to have family gatherings. She loved her church and did the flower arrangements every Sunday.
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
