Mrs. Ruby Jean Meadows Elder, 84, of Eatonton, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025.
A memorial service was held at 5:00 PM, Monday, July 28, 2025, at Williams Funeral Home of Eatonton. The family received friends from 4:00 PM until the service time.
She was born on September 10, 1940, in Eatonton to the late Alfred J. Meadows and the late Annie Kate Carnes Meadows. Mrs.
Ruby enjoyed collecting stamps and coins. She also loved genealogy.
She enjoyed tracking her ancestry and keeping up a family scrapbook.
She was a member of the Eatonton Methodist Church.
Mrs. Ruby is survived by her son Billy (and wife Elaine) Elder, grandchildren Jordan (and husband Ike) Holmes, Jake Elder, Austin Elder, step grandchildren Hunter Calhoun, Sawyer (and wife Lauren) Calhoun, Hollyann Calhoun, great grandchildren. Ruby Holmes and Huck Holmes.
