Vesta Adeline Radford, 76, of Eatonton, Georgia passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2022 after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Vesta requested a Celebration of Life as opposed to traditional funeral services. We would ask that all of Vesta’s loved ones and friends please join us in celebrating her life at Lake Country Baptist Church, 1259 Crooked Creek Rd, Eatonton, Ga 31024 on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
Vesta was born in Louisville, Georgia on January 11, 1946 to Walter and Kathryn Radford. She spent most of her life as a homemaker with occasional work in manufacturing, retail, and waitressing. She had a passion for books, playing pool and loved to sing. Vesta will be dearly missed and always remembered. Vesta was preceded in death by her parents Walter J. Radford and Kathryn B. Chalker.
She is survived by her brothers Chester Radford of Avera, Georgia, Jack (Brenda)Radford of Adrian, Georgia, Alvin (Darlene) Radford of Cobbtown, Georgia, George (Barbara) Radford of Louisville, Georgia and her sister Florence Shavers of Gibson, Georgia. She is also survived by two daughters; Rae (Brian) Scott of Eatonton, Georgia and Renee (Nat) Ash of Dublin, Georgia; two sons Wayne (Kim) Cowan of Strasburg, Ohio and Thomas Jordan of Macon, Georgia, as well as 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations are made to The Alzheimer’s Association to fund research for a cure to this disease. The family is in charge of the arrangements.
