Willie Jones Jr, 74 passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Willie was born on October 8, 1949, to the late Florrie & Willie Griffith Jones Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Willie was a lifelong resident of Putnam County and a member of Eatonton First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, hunting, working in the hayfields, and loved his 55 Chevy.
Visitation was on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Vining Ivy Hill Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m., the service was at Eatonton First United Methodist Church Historic Sanctuary on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 2 p.m.
Willie is survived by his wife Patricia Jones, children June Lassetter (Jeff), Ken Wood (Alisha), and Thomas Jones, siblings Marlene Jones Richards (Hunter Sr.), Walter Cline Jones, grandchildren Cole Lassetter, Dylan Jones, Katie Lassetter, Bryson Jones, Ryan Wood, Katelyn Jones, Cooper Jones, Mayson Story, uncle Harry Hallman (Wanda ), nephews Hunter Richards Jr, Hamilton G. Richards.
Vining Ivy Hill Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
