Dear Editor,
On Sunday, July 19th, I had the pleasure of attending Shrek the Musical at The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton, and the performance truly blew me away. For a moment, I felt as though I had been transported to New York City for a Broadway show!
Having grown up in Eatonton – and having served on the Eatonton City Council when Tom Rossiter led the effort to transform the former Eatonton Elementary School into the wonderful venue it is today – I could not have been prouder.
Our community is incredibly fortunate to have The Plaza Arts Center, and even more fortunate to have so many talented and dedicated individuals who make outstanding productions like this possible.
I simply want to say, “Thank you!” to everyone involved in bringing such a wonderful event to our community.
