Flicker: Seussical, a musical Plaza experience

Last Thursday, I went to see Seussical on its opening night with curiosity about what the Broadway Intensive Program could produce in a short two weeks of time. I was thoroughly impressed! Seussical is a musical story that takes the audience into the world of Dr.

Letters to the Editor: Out of control on Lake Oconee

Dear Editor, We live on Lake Oconee in a little cove off Hwy. 44 (first cove on the left, heading north – Ed.). The only way for boats and jet skis to get to our little cove is through a tunnel that goes under Hwy 44.

Letter to the Editor: Giving credit where credit is due

Smith: Appreciating all things Irish

I have always been told my forebears were Scots Irish, but I have never had the urge or the time to explore the past, although it would be nice to know that, perhaps, one of my ancient kin tossed the caber with Rob Roy or enjoyed a wee dram of Bushmills with Michael Collins.

Letter to the Editor: Our small-town cops handle big-city problems

Dear Editor, Earlier this month, the calm and quiet city of Eatonton experienced a night of criminal activity more like nearby big cities have on a regular basis. Gunfire erupted not once, but twice in the same night, and one person was tragically murdered.
