War Eagles embrace return to playoffs

    A season built on offseason commitment and clear expectations has turned into something special for the Putnam County baseball team.

    After finishing second in the region behind Social Circle, the War Eagles (18-12) earned the No. 12 seed in Class A Division I heading into the playoffs, putting the program in position to host a postseason series for the first time since 2013.
