One of the things I truly enjoy is fishing for spotted bass. I love the fish! They are tough fighters and aggressive eaters, and they love to hit top water! With that combination, they make themselves far more appealing to me, and many like me, than any other freshwater fish.

The Putnam County High School 2022-23 girls’ basketball season opened Dec. 2, with a 69-40 loss at home to local rival Greene County.
The Lady Eagles are playing under new head coach Derrik Arrington since the previous coach, Jerusha Hudson, retired after last season.

BASKETBALL: War Eagles drop first game of season

After a 5-0 start, No. 6 Putnam County lost its first varsity basketball game of the year on the road against rival Morgan County. The Bulldogs dramatically defeated the War Eagles 70-69 on Saturday.
According to Putnam County head coach LaPatrick Marshall, there’s actually some upside to the loss.

The Gatewood girls’ basketball team is off to an excellent start under head coach Jordan Camp. The Lady Gators currently have an 8-1 record under Camp in her fourth year at the helm.
“The season is going well,” Camp said.
